MILFORD, Conn. — Milford police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured early Wednesday morning.
According to the Milford Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 2:56 a.m. at a residence in the 800 block of East Broadway.
When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot inside the home. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was transported to a local hospital, where she is receiving treatment for her injuries.
Detectives remained at the residence throughout the day as they continued processing the scene and gathering evidence. The home remains an active crime scene as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved, and no additional details have been made public.
